"james cramer is a hothead who takes complaints and criticism personally."

i mean think about it for a sec. think back to any time when you had to go back to a car dealership, or auto parts store, or or office supply store, or the guy who cleans your carpets.... anyone. and you have a problem, and you're not happy, and you wish you didn't have to spend your precious moments rehashing all the details of the problem, and you reach the owner, manager, whatever and you tell him your problem and he says.... "not to worry, mr. smith, we're going to take care of this for you right away". ahhhh. how sweet.

but then you reach mr. james cramer with your problem and he says things like "you know what? i don't even want your business". or, "when you lob grenades in my foxhole, i throw them back and bayonet you to boot!" have you ever dealt with a businessman like that?

hey, there's a basic rule in business that i've heard called "the 3-19 rule". it goes like this... if i do a fantastic job for someone, they are going to tell 3 of their friends. if i mess up, and treat someone like crap, they're going to tell 19 of their friends.

and that's why i have no doubt whatsoever that blah, blah, blah.com will fail.

cramer's electronic rag, thestreet.com, will never achieve the desired heights of popularity because cramer doesn't give a rat's behind about subscribers, and he'll tell you so, with glee

hey my man, criticize cramer if you like, but i think your're way off base with this one...as an example, when i signed up with tsc last fall i called their 800 number to give them my credit card number, and the chump working the phones told me to call back later 'cause the system was down(or some such thing)...i thought that not taking somebody's money when they tried to give it to you was a f%^^$* up way to run a business, and sent an e-mail to cramer telling him so...anyway, he responded back and apologized for the attitude of the chump working the phones(who's probably head of customer service for mister softee by now<g> -- i think cramer nuked him from tsc<just kidding - i think he only broke the dude's legs>)...so anyway, i certainly wouldn't say that cramer doesn't give a rat's behind about his subscribers, although he probably does take offense at the ones telling him to do something that's physically impossible to do!(and i can't say as i would blame him)

imho, the thing keeping tsc from achieving the desired heights of popularity is not having the quality and quantity of content on par with the stuff cramer comes up with(although they do have some other good writers)...he's been on vacation for the last week and the quality of stuff on the site has suffered

anyway, just my 2 cents worth

happy trading,
wade
