Yes dead, so the question is:

Why swap out (which is fine tax wise...BTW) to another stock in this sector's that just as dead?

My thinking is stay the course with a paper loss, OR swap out to a faster moving and different sector to make up your loss.

Right now, I am trying to develop a LT strategy. I did great with CSCO by holding it 3 years. Let's see if I can hold my oil stocks for as long.

The flip side is: SELL all the oil stocks and put it into CSCO for the same 3 years. Guess what? That would work fine, too.
