David,

Lockheed is the name to watch. Lockheed has the same plans as IBM for the mega bio-data base. They just signed a major partner deal with NEC to get access to the 21 series for second tier (state) afis business.....which uses the TP-600 modified.

As IDX builds up large government live-scan business...and adds to their impressive list of city and state live-scan installations...the more sense it makes for LM to just take IDX out.

LM would then be the monster live-scan force. Think about it.

I know....I know.....Hype hype hype.

But we focus on bio-ID.......while the live-scan industry provides the meat and growth and profits. These businesses may not excite us.....but Lockheed Martin, at a lower PE...does quite well on government contracts. These businesses fit in with their culture.

I think there will come a time.....don't know when, when IDX will decide to exit live scan to concentrate on the bio-ID side or join up with a major in total.

Lockheed would be the name....IMO
