Does page hits mean much? For example, I go to Yahoo quotes -- but I've never stopped to look at the advertisements.

All, anyone can describe what happened (stock movement) in the day when LCOS declares a split? Isn't up-down-up or straight up? Just want to get feeling how YHOO may behave tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

Tradegod, the killer app for the internet is the stock market, and page hits have to be huge for us stocknuts. I was talking to a few of my friends at work, and they may get on the internet maybe once to twice a week. They do not own any stocks, and could care less what happens to the market. They all have AOL,and hate it,they say its so slow its not worth going on the internet. It seems you take away the people getting stock quotes and news, and you might have 1 page hit a day for the remainder of the people. I myself probably take upwards ot 100 hits to YHOO a day when I am not working(most of the time).
Hiram

registered users are not the only one's viewing the pages. sure, they are the ones who are most profitable to yahoo!, but in your case, this is irrelevant...you can't say on average how many hits there are per user.
