Diagem Commences Drill Program

Mr. David Cohen, President, is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on the Company's Chapada Property in Brazil. A total of 14 priority targets have been selected from the 41 prospective anomalies identified from the geophysical surveys completed earlier this year. Boytec S.A. has been contracted by the Company to perform a combination of reverse circulation and core drilling on the selected targets. The drill program will be completed within two months and is designed to locate economically viable diamond deposits within this highly prospective area.

The Chapada Property is located within the Juina District, a proven kimberlite and alluvial diamond producing area of Brazil. The 11,000 hectare property is situated at the source of seven diamondiferous rivers and lies on the 125-degree lineament which runs across Brazil and can be as much as 50 km across. This lineament hosts many kimberlite pipes. The Chapada and the surrounding area have a history of being a prolific region for producing alluvial diamonds. Mining of diamondiferous gravels has recovered significant gem quality diamonds in the 100 to 400 carat range.

Diagem has built the initial phases of its exploration program on the historically proven fact that primary source diamond discoveries have begun with locating significant deposits of alluvial diamonds. Operations at the Company's diamond washing plant have proven that the area supports significant amounts of alluvial diamonds. The Company believes that the kimberlitic source of these diamonds is within the Chapada Property.
