Steven, The only perspective I have is from experience in Arizona. During the 80's there were many small to medium banks in Arizona.

One by one they were bought out. By the early 90's there were practically none. We have the larger banks. Bank One, Citi, Wells Fargo, Norwest,B of A.

Yes, there are some Savings and Loans and other small banks but 90% of the people in Arizona bank in the larger ones.

I hear on CNBC, WSW, NBS about how there will only be 50 banks in 10 years. Consolidation is going to happen. Sooner or later.
