Jeff, could you explain why you would not buy it today? I understand being discouraged with the
price performance to date. But I would be interested in hearing why you would not buy it now.

George,
My reason for not buying today has little to do with whether BPI may be a viable drug. Mainly, my experience of holding a biotech at a loss for so many years while waiting for trials and approval (which may never come) doesn't seem like a great use of investment dollars. The money could have been working for me in the interim...
Biotech is a very frustrating arena in which to invest, particularly as we watch other technologies grow and profit. Thankfully, my investments in those companies (i.e., Compaq, Intel, Cisco, etc) have allowed me to hold onto a XOMA without feeling too depressed...
Hell, even my other long-term hold against-my-better-judgment, Apple, hit a 52 week high today.
Don't mean to sound so discouraged, just venting... Doubt I'll go anywhere, but I wish SOMETHING would happen with XOMA.
