I understand what you are saying. However I think the stock market has alot to do with psychology and to ignore that would be foolish. I think the internet is the single most important development during my lifetime. It's impact has already been dramatic and it is just developing so the potential for things is in some ways unlimited and in many ways uncertain. Certain companies are looking to establish themselves early in this new environment and I really believe that these companies (AOL, YAHOO etc) will be the future leaders of industry. There will be many companies that succeed and many more that fail. Right now the fervor is quite heated. People are realizing the impact of this medium and, that, coupled with the way many trade today and all the momentum investors internet stocks are reaching lofty lofty levels. To alot of people, me included, I think some of them are overvalued (really most of them). But I also realize that they are trading on potential, future potential. People seem a bit more optimistic about the potetnial revenues from the internet than I do, and I think I am optimistic , but maybe I am underestimating things. YHOO just blew out earnings (which still doesnt make it reasonably valued). I love the potetnial and EGGS has that in spades and trades at a condiderably lower valuation than many other high flying internet stocks. For the time being I am willing to get into one like this, both because of momentum and because I like the company. I dont know alot about it yet but I will soon. In the meantime, I bet EGGS makes me happy.
