I even dare say that they even have as much if not more potential than Yahoo does and here's why:

<<- Zapata is already making money from their other business and has plenty of available cash to further develop their web site(s).>>

This is something that few ever mention but the fact is even if their internet business took the big dumpola it doesn't affect the other business that they are associated with.

<<<- ChatPlanet is a very nice chat site. Not as good as some others I've seen but I'm sure they'll make improvements.>>>

Yes, but now they are considering CoolChat. CoolChat I believe has been a long standing plugin accessible from the Netscape site.

- Great links! I found lots of cool stuff but there were also I bunch of links that were pretty useless and/or annoying.

I especially enjoyed Vector Analysis under their stock banner. Check it out. It claims that even at this price ZAP is undervalued claming a book value of about $19 (unless I read something wrong).

<<<- They have a program called CyberGold were you order services from different companies (subscribing to magazines and stuff) and then ZAP gets a commission while the customer earn CyberDollars to spend on software and things.>>>

Something I am curious about. I am a charter member of CyberGold and was wondering what ZAP's relationship with them is. Do they control it?

<<<- Free email. Email is a good marketing tool because when you get an email from a person who has a Starting Point Email account there is a little advertisement at the bottom for the web site.>>>

Email ranks as #1 in terms of usage on the internet.

<<- Personal Web Pages. Works great for Yahoo. Everyone I know has a personal web page. Starting Point doesn't offer them yet but I heard from their Webmaster that they are working on it and it will be very easy to use.>>>

The quicker the better.

Let's be reminded that Zap will own most of the sites that users will access at the Zap site. However there is one thing that I wonder about. It seems that they aren't actually buying these sites but rather buying a controlling interest in them. Are you under the impression that this may be true? If so, then it makes me wonder if they would be sharing a percentage of possible profits.

Eventually I think that Zap is going to have to take the big gamble and advertise on TV. I feel that this explains Yahoo's popularity. I mean after all if they can ask "Have you Yahooed today" why couldn't we ask "Have you been ZAPped today?" The cliches possibilities are endless.
