David:

About your late trade, if you got a price 8 minutes late you should be able to complain. I use Etrade and I have had a similar experience THREE times. Each time I complain and each time within 48 hours my account was credited the amount needed to offset the difference in the price I should have received. The examples were:

Placed a market to buy 10 Microsoft Puts the day Reno (within 30 seconds) came on CNBC announcing the Microsoft case. 10 Put's was at 3 when I placed it - 2 hours later Etrade said it was executed at 5.25.

Placed an order to buy 500 shares of CLFY when it was at 13.25 - order was filled at 14.75 (This was during one of the CLFY runs last year)

Also happened on a NSCP trade last year, only it was a buy to cover order.

Anyway, I don't know how your brok. works but Etrade is good about fixing mistakes. If I had not complained I would have lots LOTS of cash. (At least what I consider lots of cash - I am in college and only have about $8,000 to play with which I guess is pocket change to everyone else here :) )

Take care.
