Kerry,

Points well put. I was using that particular post just as much to ask everyone if this sort of shorting plot is, in anyone else's experience, known to exist at all, or is a known practise. It seemed to me that GPW was too thinly traded to make any money doing this anyway, but the question itself was worthwhile. It sounds like something to be very wary of where liquidity might support it.

And thank you for your supportive opinion of MForthright, although my suspicions were sharply aroused by the 'tenor' of his posts over the past month or so, I'm very ready to have them allayed. Unfortunately, with electronic posting of notes, as is well known in corporate circles, the context and body language are not helping us and it is very easy to misread what someone intends or says. The only way I can see to replace this very important level of communication is the exchange of opinion occasionally about each other in order to build a 'mind picture' of our corespondents. I appreciate your help in this.
