I agree. Emotions are high on YHOO. Emotions swing like a pendulum from one excess to the other raking down everything in its path. I believe that the long term downward trend for YHOO is inevitable. However, I do not discount the possibility of a short term emotion charged run-up to $300+. Especially if the remaining shorts decide to cover.

Waiting for a good opportunity to buy puts.

Hank,

Competition, huh? Well, competition was out there LAST qtr, right? and YHOO delivered right? I do not get your point! Sure there will always be competition, and sure YHOO might lose it all! I doubt it though....Will it retreat from here over the mid term? Maybe. Will it be higher 2-3 years form now? Yes, IMHO....

It is early in the AM and I know this is not a very informative post, but I will leave you with this though...In classic business studies, they talk about brand equity, brand identity, market penetration and attitudes of consumers (sorry I can not quote form the book)....But, "in a nutshell", the reason why we all shop at Wal Mart is not specifically and only because the are the cheapest, it is because Wal Mart represents the path of least resistance, it is what we feel comfortable with and what we "know and remember"...My Mom used to say, I'm going to Sears or KMart, now we say I'm going to Wal Mart...Makes sense, YHOO could be in similar situation if they are not already. You go there for everything, just because.....YHOO is developing a MASSIVE frnachise..

Regards,

MileHigh
