I think there is too much comparison to face-to-face or phone type discussions. In those types of discussions it would be rude/improper or detrimental to the discussion if one person in the group doesn't listen to some others. This is far from that type of conversation, as great as the e-world is. A moderator (or big brother for that matter) doesn't/can't know my personal choices. I'm not referring to outright abusiveness on the thread. Just people who "I" feel offend "ME". My choice. You can read whatever you want. I will read what "I" want to read. I don't want/need a "moderator" to do it for me. I want control of my reading. Currently I feel somewhat 'force fed'. If I'm going to post something I make sure to understand where the thread is at in the discussion. Actually, most of the "deep" discussions last only a few postings, on the threads I read. Dan
