Re: <one thing that has turned me off on SI is the constant bickering...>

Most SI threads will show posts of varying degrees of different perspectives and opinions. Sometimes this can escalate into a series of senseless, obnoxious, trivial, infantile and crude personal attacks. There also seem to be periods of time when just one poster will corrupt a well functioning dynamic thread by constantly taunting regular contributors, making outrageous and unsupported claims, making lewd and vulgar remarks, etc. They usually make their appearance when a stock has falling or had some negative press. The more the stock price has fallen the more they needle those longs looking for justification for hold the stock. They seem to disappear fast when regular posters ignore their posts or the stock start rising. The sad thing is a lot of Timely and Valuable Information is presented on these threads and it would be a shame for you to allow someone else to limit its usefulness to you. I have been alerted by SI posters to many events and circumstances that have significantly affected my portfolio's value. Of course, I strongly recommend doing your own research and DD on on leads you get off a thread.
One major advantage of being able to post is that you sometimes can get timely answers and feedback to your specific questions and concerns.
