Jane, I do not intend to argue with you on the tongues things.Paul said he spoke in tongues more than any and I have no idea what all this meant cause I was not there. The only ones mentioning "new wine"at Pentecost, were the antagonists who said they were drunk. That is exactly what they thought, physically drunk. (not drunk with Spirit, but with spirits ,ie wine). And the "speaking" was the apostles speaking and all the people "hearing" their own language spoken. Peter said as much. Why? They were the ones that needed to hear. Not "angel" talk, (which by the way are just at Gods bidding and not to be worshipped), not a language that only God would understand, as He was the one SENDING the message, but the people. So if they were "speaking UNKNOWN tongues" there would have been no message and thereby no one saved.

Think about it. If you put 10 or 12 men together in a room , all speaking different languages, to an outsider would this not seem like confusion coupled with sounds like violent winds? The people understood perfectly, as many were saved that day. But I bet the antagonists whos hearts were set against them anyway, did not understand at all. No "ears to hear" don't ya know... :)

Be out of pocket couple 4 days. Have a wonderful weekend. Please don't toss me out of your house here.....:o(

God bless you,

dan
