First, thanks flickerful, for the R2000 reference!

As to my little rumor. I'm referring to the
GMGC Network Operation Center (NOC), which is currently
located here in the valley. They're - supposedly -
building another one elsewhere. I don't know
why, although I'm sure we could make some
pretty good guesses.
