Patrick, I hear you. I am not aware of the fact that the folks at Ancor follow this thread that closely. In fact, I thought someone posted on that issue before saying that specific posts were forwarded to Ancor personnel from time to time, but that nobody there made it a habit of reading the thread. I think it was also posted that someone at Ancor thought that technical discussions on the threads were generally informative, but much of the actual business discussions were not. I think that many of us have tried to get very direct answers about the technical side of things from Ancor. I would rather be commenting on an Ancor press release, than one from Brocade. If there are FC engineers out there reading this thread - from Ancor, Brocade, or Vixel an offer that I made a while ago still stands. E-mail me about anything that you think needs to be corrected. Make sure your e-mail contains the appropriate identifying data including a phone number for verification and I will correct any erroneous speculation about the technical aspects of FC in general or your specific product. I can assure your anonymity. I can also post anything technical that you think would assist our discussion. We are of course most interested in how Ancor's MKII compares to other products and how you find its performance. George D.
