Actually a low P/E stock can become a value stock v.s. a growth stock - Value requires that fundamentals are strong going forward - new products coming on line - among other requirements - A LOW P/E doesn't in and of itself make a stock a good value - Investors Bus Daily believes in a minimum P/E of 20 and higher as long as certain other criteria are in place - have yet to see stated anywhere that over a long term period of time that either selection process outperforms the other - it's preference - or that LOW P/E stocks outperform HIGH P/E stocks - G
