I think you will see a major media blitz by AMD toward the end of summer to promote the 3DNow! parts. Without that much advertising they are already the talk of the gamer crowd. AMD will want to stimulate back-to-school business and prep the stage for the Christmas season. Intel has nothing that compares with the K6+ in terms of graphics performance and won't have until early next year. Toward the end of this year and early next, AMD should be out with SMP capable parts that will allow it to go after multiple processor applications in servers and workstations. I suspect that dual K6+ 400 Mhz based systems would be great for graphics workstations.

IDT can ride the wave of the excitement AMD is generating if they get some damn parts into production soon. All we seem to hear from IDT is a lot of hot air and not much significant follow through. Oh well, I bet IDT management play a nice game of golf or are busy watering their lawns. Too much to think of besides taking advantage of vanishing market opportunities. Oh . . , laudy dah.
