Peter,

The T-stock method makes a lot more sense for calculating # shares out for use in figuring things like EPS, say. But for figuring shares out for development stage biotech stocks, that approach doesn't make sense.

Saying that you "theoretically would take that cash and buy back that amount of stock" is hogwash when it comes to reality. The fact is SEPR is _not going to do anything like that. Biotech investors are just concerned with how many pieces the pie is split up into. That represents what piece they will have of the golden ring. The cash in the company is not valued since that cash is likely going to disipate into thin air over time, for R&D work.

In any event, I agree that this is becoming much ado about nothing.

SEPR had said they were planning to file an IND for their new version of Prozac in "mid-98". Anyone hearing anything about this?

To All: I am new to the option game and I have a question , I am currently using margin to the extent that I can cover a call if necessary. I would like to buy more SEPR but have the $ tied up in other stocks. I want to hold on to these other stocks for as long as I can before cashing in.
What is a better choice ?
(1) buy Aug 40 or 45 and exercise them
(2) buy Jan 40 or 45 and exercise them
(3) buy Aug 45 and trade them in for Oct 45 etc until I let go of these other stocks
(4) forget about locking in the current price and just buy more and more of the stock on margin as it climbs,
(5) Other strategies ?
Thanks!
