Well I hope he can work some magic too, but I think the problems at Vantive have more to do with management execution than sales force execution. Vantive was a company that had risen to the lead in customer support and had an experienced and deep field sales force. It was Vantive management that steered them towards SFA and that's where the problems began. If JJ takes them back to their bread and butter with selective focus on SFA then all the better, if he's just going to push harder on competing with Sebl, then I suspect Vantive will continue to repeat their problems.
