Dell stockholders will vote to "authorize" an additional two billion (2,000,000,000) shares. This does not obligate Dell to split the stock, although belief runs strong that company will do so by end of summer...

Yo chief, >>from what I understand Mike is going to get more shares issued so Dell can go 3 for 1<<

I believe any one who has read the proxy statement knows that there will be an increase in authorized shares from 1,005,000,000 to 3,005,000,000 shares, pending shareholder approval next Friday (17th).

Of course the additional share authorization would permit a 3-for-1, but it would also clearly permit two, 2-for-1s, even on a diluted basis.

The Company has always done 2-for-1s, and based on the pattern, I don't see any indication that they intend to change.

BTW, the proxy statement is available at www.dell.com under investor information.
