MICROSOFT TESTIMONIAL** When the Netstream news hit a few days ago, Grant, I recalled a reference at the annual meeting to a letter of recommendation MSFT had sent to another SIGM client. I asked Carol Kaplan for a copy of it and she provided it today. I have no scanner, but as it is fairly short, I will type it in verbatim. It was written 5/7/98 by Dave Seres, Microsoft product manager: Gentlemen: Sigma Designs has worked closely with Microsoft since October, 1997 to deliver high-quality, DirectShow-architected MPEG-2 playback solution for our NetShow Theatre Server. The results so far have been outstanding, and we have demonstrated NetShow Theatre with the REALmagic MPEG-2 card to our customers, partners, the press and thousands of tradeshow visitors at NAB, Interop, Microsoft TechEd and elsewhere. The REALmagic MPEG-2 card is the first playback solution for MPEG-2 video with the NetShow Theatre server and we recommend it to our customers. This week at Interop the REALmagic card was demonstrated in the keynote address at NetWorld Interop delivered by Microsoft Senior Vice President Jim Allcin. There exists a very good relationship between the two companies and we are partnering with Sigma on several large and high-visibility projects. We recommended it to the ITT Sheraton video on demand project for their hotel chain. We enthusiastically recommend Sigma Designs as a digital video hardware solutions provider. Sincerely;
