Well, not much you can do about a gap-down open, which is typical of earnings season / pre-announcements. Bellwether DD is such a heavily - weighted component of CEX.X (and it's even in the BigOil index XOI.X) that diversification into the sector provided no refuge in this case. We tend to under-estimate or ignore just how important CRUDE OIL is to our "modern" economy... DD, AA, MMM and so forth all track SLB which tracks CL98Z crude oil ...we might as well be trading the oil futures themselves, Berney: these resource-industrials are just a proxy for the commodity. Flip a coin, TraderBerney - 50/50 chance that the DAX, CAC and FTSE tank from here. (Gonzo not optimistic about the EU right now) Wither BRK.B ? ...been flatlined since acquiring GRN, gotta fish or cut bait Real Soon Now. Why is INTC going up ? I mean, where's the freight ?
