You could get a PC Quote feed or equivalent with Level II and Charts and paper trade. Obviously, real executions are very different than paper trading, but you can "learn the ropes." The other thing to do is find a local trading office and watch other traders. Block Trading has a history of being helpful if you will open an account with them first; depending on the office. This is a much easier way to learn...

Frankly, overall, not many places are good at cultivating new traders. They are quick to cash your check, but the less hassle the better. It's a shame really...
