Kurt, what you say may be possible. I don't understand why any brokerage would post anything to anyone's account till it was a done deal.

SureTrade told me yesterday that they had no information on a split or dividend concerning Midland.

He said that until the Transfer Agent advises them of one nothing will be done. He further stated that the old shares had to be returned to the T. Agent and new ones would be issued. Perhaps he did not know of what he spoke, but this is what I was told.

Personally, I don't need anymore hassles; I don't want anything placed in my account that is not handled correctly.

Kurt N... I called Schwab yesterday and demanded the split shares in my account by the end of the business day today. I also gave them the exact number of shares that I expected to see in my account based on the positions that I currently hold. I gave a sense of urgency that I was looking to make a move on some shares (NOT) and said that they NEEDED to be applied to my account ASAP.

Looking to help out in any way...
