good day Bob,
Just so there is no confusion regarding Martin Luther, I just want to point out something. Although there is a church with two separate synods called the Lutheran Church, this is not what Martin Luther started. Martin Luther started the whole Protestant movement breaking away from the Church of England/ Catholic church. The Lutheran church, of which I am a member, certainly follows what Martin Luther stood for but what he really stood for was to believe in the bible entirely with the bible being our basis for decisions as to our worship practices or " religion ".
Again, maybe you knew this but I just don't want you to think that Martin Luther only started the Lutheran Church, in fact, all CHRISTIAN churches that are not Catholic owe there beginnings to Martin Luther and probably John Calvin a bit as well. Not to take away from Calvin's writings but I feel that Martin Luther's writings offer much more to our Christian faith.

Enjoy the day,
God's blessings to all today.
