In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, an Ericsson executive said the company is looking at 10 networking companies in the U.S. and has begun acquisition discussions with three, each in the several-hundred-million-dollar range.

JM,

ERICY/TLAB makes sense, but it's probably too big a company for ERICY to swallow -- they said a few weeks back that they're only looking at smaller companies. Too bad, as I'm long ERICY. As far as selling laggards to make room for TLAB, my only laggard at the moment is CELL -- think it's worth trading a company with a PE of 17 for one with a PE of 40, when growth rates are comparable? That's why TLAB scares me. I guess we'll see more on the 16th, when their earnings come out.
