You know, I have always hated sitting in back of brass when singing. They are so indiscriminate about clearing their valves. It's disgusting. I've had them dribble on my feet before-the young ones-the professionals use a towel.. I've thought about clearing my throat on the tops of their heads before I sing, but their saliva glands seem to be far more active than the poor drymouthed vocalist, so the battle would be lost early on.
