>>It is truly amazing that anyone can be long this stock. I can't think of ANY positives for the future of Vivus<<

WOW amazing, You can mention Harvard Scientific, a 2 bit operation thats years away from any product let alone a working product yet trash a company that had 100 mil in sales last year.

It just amazes me to see people stick their head up some dark spots where the sun dont shine.

But thats what makes a market, morons who belive everything and morons who make up things to belive.

Nick,
Interesting "thoughts". I took a look at your other post from
back in Feb. and I understand your anger. Muse didn't work for
you and you are stuck (no pun intended) using Caverjet - you must
have a serious case of ED, and I honestly feel for you. However,
you have been sold pipe dreams with Vasomax and Harvard Scientific
as their products (if they ever make it to market) will also not
help your situation.

BTW, does Viagra work for you? I would be very surprised if it did.

All IMHO, of course.

Nick,

If you can not think of any positives for the future of Vivus then I suggest you take a short position and see if it becomes profitable.

Vasomax is basically worthless and will be only a psycogenic cure.

Harvard Scienticic has nothing to offer except nice press releases.

There is nothing else significant which will hit the market over the next year or two.

I do not know the specifics between Astra and Merks latest agreement.

I do know that Astra is looking for new products and aquisitions but I do not know if the agreement with Merck prevents them from making a domestic aquisition.

In my communications with Astra they have said repeatedly that they are confident that they will sell MUSE profitably and will use the safety and local effect aspects as their marketing strengths.

MUSE was never intended to be used by probably at least 1/2 of those now on Viagra. The real question is what kind of results men with moderate to severe organic ED are getting and how long it will take the failures to seek alternative treatments. I believe many of the failures will eventually trickle into the doctor's office for MUSE or needle therapy. As Edderd pointed out it will take time for this to occur but it will eventually happen.

Inventory Concern

Nick--I'm not too worried about HVSF, and you are clearly wrong about the efficacy of VVUS product, but you have correctly identified an important issue--inventory and shelf life.

VVUS has $16M in inventory, up from $9M last quarter. Based on 2-Q sales (w/no increase), that's a 3-month backlog. I noted my concern about inventory in a posting yesterday.

What is the shelf life of Muse? It seems to me it's got to be more than 3 months. It has to be refrigerated, doesn't it? (Hope they've got a back-up generator at the plant in Lakewood). Can someone more acquainted with the facts address this issue?

And what were those VVUS workers reportedly smiling about as reported by some observers during the past two months--taking off the summer with severance pay?
