tisha, Welcome! is it possible the reason the bid went up and the ask went down, ACTUALLY HE SAID THE SPREAD WIDENED, THE BID WENT DOWN AND THE ASK WENT UP. is they were expecting the seller back and they feel the Locus deal is near the finalization? THAT *COULD* BE A REASON FOR WIDENING THE SPREAD, BUT ON A LITTLE STOCK LIKE THIS, A 9c SPREAD OR A 6c SPREAD, EVEN AN 18c SPREAD, DOESN'T PHASE ME ONE BIT.
.
Generally it is UNLIKELY that the Market makers would be so intuned with the events of an OTC-BB stock, that they'd concern themselves with the possibilities of a deal coming down the pike. If there is VOLUME, they are happy because they "make the spread". If the trading dries up, or they feel funny about the orders coming in, they might spread the gap wider as a form of "insurance" for anything unexpected happening while they are either long or short the stock.
