Yes, I noticed 3% already today. Looks like some of the other SEA markets are starting to slide again, too.

Well there you go Stitch, transparency in the gov't and starting out right at the top no less! Impressive, noble almost.

So did all those scads of young Japanese tourists just up and decide to 'see Japan first' this year ? Certainly they aren't truly concerned about their old age yet. All the Gucci bag stores must be really feeling the pinch.

While in Hawaii I also checked out a large very modern looking structure about 1km back from the beach. Looked like a Japanese inspired development. Probably 500+ units. The lobby had an electronic registry showing only about 100 names. Not sure if some occupants chose to not be registered, but there were plenty of adds for units in that massive tower to be found in the weekend newspapers. The bldg placard indicated a '93 or '94 construction completion date.
