Momentum has nothing to do with earning. It is the forward expect of investors , especially the merge with DEC. Just like Yahoo, if you look at its earning, you will never buy the stock at $80. Of course, eventually, it will come to earning. But for the next six months, earning is not a big deal !!! CPQ wrote a check, and people will
cash out the check in the next one to two years.

Maxer, I think that the money coming into CPQ now is looking into the future, even past the third quarter. I don't think this quarter's numbers are going to seriously impact the stock. We'll find out next week.

A whisper number of -0.07 would be wonderful. That way, when CPQ reports break-even it will go through the roof. Whisper numbers that are higher than expected earnings are BAD, whispers that are lower are GOOD, especially when the stock is moving boldly upward in spite of whatever whisper numbers people have.
