>>> Why no longer dream of 50-100$ a share stock. It's not worth risk and agrevation otherwise. If the salesman they just got is the answer you think it is then why shouldn't it be a 100$ stock? It's a billion dollar market in a few years. <<<

Could make it there but the immediate worry is major dilution of shares. I'm sure the issue will be adressed on the conference call and we will find out how loyal the long termers actually are.

janski,

It may not be a lot more than salesmanship. There are not great differences between these switches for the SAN application. Steve provided the OS example. I will just quote an authoritative reference (Hennesey and Patterson's Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach p. 110):

"Fallacy: An Architecture with flaws cannot be successful.

The 80x86 provides a dramatic example. The architecture is one only its creators could love..... Despite these major difficulties, the 80x86 architecture - because of its selection as the microprocessor in the IBM PC has been enormously successful."

The high tech world is full of similar stories. Bright, creative, and successful people who did or did not always sell their ideas.
