Perhaps cable can't be "technologically" beaten but the Congress, the Executive Branch (especially anti trust Justice) and the FCC sure make it hard to make a buck. And without those bucks the tech changes are long long overdue. Fiber to the curb (or better, across it to the home/business) is a case in point as is wireless above the curb. But the gov't "protects" [sic.] the consumer against any one trying to innovate and charge for it. Remember that one of the early leaders (think it was John Q. Adams) said "Thank God we do not get all the government we pay for". Took me awhile to fully appreciate that point, inefficiency and wheel spinning beat gov't roadblocks and "regulations" by a long shot if we are to innovate. Chaz
