It could be possible to get 350mhz parts out of the existing process ... but the control could be an issue. I would recommend that AMD develop a Rev2 device/FET that would use the existing interconnect from the .25um process. This would be the sure way to get to 350mhz, 400mhz or 450mhz. This could be developed in Santa Clara, but I would prefer to see this developed at the manufacturing site (Austin). This is the only way for AMD to get "back in the game". Make It So, Yousef

Public will still want an old PII!!! AMD MUST produce a 500Mhz chip within the next 8-10 months if they wish to continue this head to head battle with Intel...otherwise, look out for major restructuring because they can't even make money competing against old Intel chips now, and surely won't be able to make any $$$ for the next 2-4 years considering Intel's aggressive product schedule!!! Still looking for a chance to enter this puppy for a quick turn & burn, but AMD longs at ANY price over $20 should SERIOUSLY reconsider their position, bite the bullet, and buy into a better story!!! $weet Dream$ $tarpopper
