Dear high and mighty.

Beer stained.

Get this. I do not drink or smoke. I study geology, the market, prospect and do computer stuff.

I am sane. There. I claim that prospect.

What is not insane is the diamond market. Reason is it is not mature enough. The VSE is new crooks, car salesmen and new geologists.

Where is the old guard? The real mine hustelers. The Jack Hammels, Dan Willans, Pierre Beauchemin or the Russian Kid? Thayer Lindsley? The prospectors entrepreneurs and miners?

The VSE? Don't make me gag. It's over. When they won't and cannot rush and find diamonds, it's over. The romance is gone.

I could not sell one claim in Newfoundland or the Territories. Alberta was a real estate agent's rush. The media stayed home.

Mining is suppressed, repressed and depressed.

Canadians don't want the bush and mining. They think they can sit in their yachts and play computer and do it all. Paint park benches and decide the fate of the world. But the are losing the mechanics of it. The world does not rotate on paper bearings. It is blood sweat and axle grease that moves the Rajah to his palace. When the CDN stops getting his hands dirty and stops facing dirty reality every day its 600 AD and Constantine's days are numbered. The barbarians are at the gates.

We need some thinking and some engineers. They build that palace and those mines. But we need some basic involvement in the ground. Why don't Canadians own their own diamond mines. Why is it BHP and DeBeers? Why are we so damned stupid and negative. Are we cretins? Are we bush bunnies, do nothings and Neandrathals?

I am afraid you will have to get off the escalator and take the stairs. It has stopped. The top floor is still out of reach unless you stretch.

There is something to do in mining and engineering. A big job. It could be done. It needs grass roots and Bay street too. And not for Bre-X and other games. It makes me weep to see energy wasted. And it is necessary not just worthwhile. We have to do it. Or die.

And it takes people who know a thing or too. Not just a guy who graduated Brock with a C and can spell geology. I know some of the best explorationists in the C---s-----g world. Like guys who found maybe 20 mines that are still running. 100,000 people owe them their jobs. George Bush owes them his reputation. (And trust me, he knows who the gunmen on the grassy knoll were and so did LBJ) A critical mass of such talent could make money if copper was 10 cents and pound.

Guess what. I can fone them up at 10 oclock on monday morning and it answers after two rings. They ain't workin.

Why? Why do we have to listen to money burning and geological drivel
with stock brokers who ran Bre-X picking our mining plays. Why don't we go out and start them ourselves. Why don't we tell THEM were the play is?

Eh?

Time to listen?

Yeah. Sure is. It's time. High time.

And If I REALLY talk there has to money on the table.
