We're not talking 1984 (Big Brother) here or the number of the beast. ....Sorry for the length of this post! <<<<<.......

Wow! A great post. The energy and passion you put into it could light a small city for a weekend. Maybe there is hope for the future yet.

I don't disagree with you on any of the points you've made. But lately, I've come to the realization that I'm slowly becoming a brain stem with some basic typing and computer skills.
This point was driven home last night, while I was watching the actor Robert Blake on a talk show (the Tom Snyder Show), PASSIONATELY bemoaning the passing of Roy Rogers, and all our other "heroes", as well as the passing of OAmericaO and the OdreamO as we knew it. So that was still in my mind when I first read your post yesterday. I only meant it was OhorribleO to picture the face of the future as an increasing amount of more Obrain stems with computer skillsO. ItOs not something John Wayne or Elvis would probably relate to. However, as a contrarian investor, it makes me quite happy to invest in the Brave New World., and usually against everything I used to believe in. I realize that this is what is commonly known as evolution. Or, more honestly, are we not DEVO?O(de-evolving, for the uninitiated)
So as a former human, I do empathize with Robert BlakeOs tremendous sense of loss. It just ainOt grits and groceries anymore folks. Life is more like digital McNuggets. It ainOt got soul...What happened to soul? I guess we lost that when Otis ReddingOs small plane crashed in Lake Superior....
Sorry I wasnOt more specific, but from one brain stem to another, I enjoyed your post immensely. And of course when Orwell wrote about Big Brother, he was actually referring to his own day and age. 1984 is just 1949 inverted, the year he wrote the book. So, Big Brother is ancient history now........And the number of the beast? Hey, Ronald Reagan had that covered, technically. And the Jordan ran red with blood during the six day war. Arrmageden is not my main concern anymore. Discovering that I wonOt be needing legs in the future, however, does concerns me.
We now return you to your regular stock news..It's almost time for my tube feeding anyhow..
