FWIW the resin used in reactor plants is not regenerative at all. It is a simple ion exchange process. Once the ion(s) that are being exchanged in the resin is(are) depleted it has to be replaced. When I spoke to Hewlett back in May I left with the impression that this would be the type used. I left with that impression because he spoke of the need to monitor effluent for efficiency.
