You may be the one who can answer a question for me. With respect to Schedule D accounting, I manually enter every trade into my accounting program, which, believe it or not, is Microsoft Money. They don't come any older than that! But I've learned to jerk it around for my purposes. However, I'm considering a change - primarily because MS Money does not accommodate short trades. You have to enter the purchase cover before you can enter the short sale. Here's my question. Does Quicken permit short sale entries? Also, are there other programs that do the same?
