>>>Is this good or bad for CKFR?

Well, IMO if it was to ever take off, it would most likely be bad, but the chances of this taking off in the near future, are slim to none at this point. The technology is designed to make it easy for the banks, because it integrates easily with existing check processing systems (or at least it claims to). IMO any technology or service needs to be designed around the consumer first and then fitted to the providers of the technology, because no matter how easy it is for the banks to use, if consumers don't like it, they won't use it. The E-Check is obviously designed for banks first and consumers second, it should be the other way around.
