The MM's take the bid/ask down on any sells. We're down today, and have had 6500 buys and 4500 sells. Some strange games being played.

Question: From a newbie.....

What happens if the MMs sell two or three times the number of shares that are out there? Seems that is what eventually will happen if they keep selling shares they do not own. And do they have the wherewithall to eventually take the shares to a dollar, just to cover their shorts?????
