William, HLIT is in transition, they have a huge contract with TCI to build MetroDWDM systems for them in 14 cities,100 communities. They are also building DWDM systems for COX this quarter in Palos Verdes. They have some good contracts overseas in Scandinavia for Satellite systems, and Hungary for MMDS systems. Their strength is fiber optics, and they are the only company in the world to install MetroDWDM. If you look at their fundamentals it will look a little wacky, due to the buyout of New Media last quarter, which was taken as in process R&D for $14 million, and some delayed contracts to Rogers in Canada due to weather. This will be the first quarter we can get a glimpse of the future for them. Also Sprint and BellSouth are testing their MetroDWDM system.
Its a good bet for this quarter, and easier to see TCI/T in the next quarter. ANTC/NT through their Arris union are building Cornerstone VOIP for Cox,$100 million contract, also ANTC is helping HLIT with this big contract to TCI.
HLIT also has a new 2-way Satellite system developed with Shiron Communications of Israel, its a VSAT for small businesses.
Take a look at ANAD,undervalued, supply GAAS RF units to BAY,COMS for cable modems. GAAS looks strong VTSS has done well. ANAD is moving strongly into fiber optic GAAS IC's.
Good hunting,
Hiram
