kemble, i am a bull happily grazing in Dell's green pastures but yesterday chuzzlewit advised me to seek greener pastures if Compaq or HP should successfully imitate (duplicate) Dell's build-to-order, just-in-time assemble, low inventory, virtual company business model.
Because then this would present real competition and slow Dell's earnings growth.

As perhaps the most enthusiastic (buy dell, go to sleep, wake up rich) Dell bull, what is your take on this? If Compaq or HP replicated the Dell model (the sincerest form of flattery) would you sell Dell then?
Would you abandon ship then? Could it ever happen? Or better yet, when will it happen? Surely, Dells competition knows what they are up against ...

I'm a new guy so go easy on me. I do not seek to predict currents only how things will swim in the currents.
