Computer peripherals looking good: MCRS....HAUP, ELTN, LXK...

In the midst of earnings shortfalls.. companies like those above are making accelerating earnings.

MCRS one of my favorite stock trades and past earnings play. Micros is estimated to report total revenue of $274 million in fiscal '98, up 20% from a year.

In April Micros announced its first stock split. Micros hardware and software products help hotels manage reservations and tally room charges and phone bills. Restaurants use the systems to keep track of personnel, inventories and each table's food and bar tabs.

Companies buying MCROS systems are: Host Marriot Services Corp, Hilton International...

Micros held nearly 25% of the $600 million worldwide market for table service restaurant hardware and software systems in '97. In hotels and resorts Micros had about 20% of a $700 million market worldwide.
