"No one can predict the future, all we can do is play the percentages, but the roller coaster ride ain't finished yet and Wall Street takes no prisoners. Extreme caution advised. Best wishes and happy investing (and please don't gamble the rent money shorting AMZN no matter what.)"

If I were a judge of the contest, you'd be one post closer to a free SI membership D.R.

AMZN uptrend is broken now, TA wise. But after consolidating, it could just as easily still take off again to the upside. I shorted a little at 109 two days ago and am comfortable with the position, for now. But it's a fraction of my account.

For an "internet" long hedge, I bought an equal dollar amount of EGRP.
Sure it's a bit over-valued on current earnings, but they are trying to become a financial internet portal, "The New Financial Community", as they like to say. I'm thinking the stock could take off if it gets noticed.

Comments on EGRP anyone?

I disagree in one point, if someone has strong porfolio and luckily short amzn at above 110, for ex. Why bother to cover now if he knows for sure amzn will goed down under 50 in one year? I think the danger of amzn going above 110 now is slim, of course I can be wrong.
(I know many shorters are wounded and killed, but it seems the end of bull market is in sight, heard like some analysts agree of a possible recession in '00)
