I thought I'd post this here as I could relate.....when I was 18 years old I got involved in the CBT trading commodities... I lost 3 years of hard earned part-time high school labor in about 2 months.

This is sad, and I picked it off the boards here on SI...that's why I joined SI in the first place so this wouldn't happen to someone else like it happen to me, so even if we have this Camel to deal with it isn't the end of the World...you here me?....excerpt

All i know is that I bought this stock like an idiot-- on high volume and on the up side at 2 3/16. It seemed like a good company and i made $200 in a day. Since then I've bought more at 1 1/16. Screw this company, I sold it all for 23/32 and lost $1500. My life savings for a 19 year old student. The stock market sucks. I always pick the wrong stocks. I had to choose between ONSL(Onsale.com) and ERICY(Ericsson) and they both where at 28 1/2. I picked ONSL thinking that with Amazon's success it would do the same. WRONG. It fell to 23 and ERICY went to 31. Why am I so bad at picking them. I still think everyone should buy ONSL. Its real cheap now.

It's called hard knocks, and unfortunately when you get knocked hard you never forget.
