The OSC Web site offers a variety of information and services, including OSC-produced investor brochures and publications; speeches and news releases; proposed and final rules, policies and notices; enforcement activities, including notices of hearing and decisions; lists of reporting issuers and companies registered to sell securities in Ontario; information on OSC operations and access to the Ontario Securities Act; and access to documents filed by reporting issuers. "The mandate of the OSC is to protect investors from unfair, improper or fraudulent practices, and to foster fair and efficient capital markets and confidence in their integrity," said David Brown. "We are confident this new site will take information collected by the OSC and make it more widely available to the investing public. Investors will benefit and so will our capital markets".
