re: I don't see any bullish folks here who are manic and think this (the market or Dell) will go on forever. I see some very sharp people who look carefully at the fundamentals and conclude that, right now, Dell is the place to be. Ask yourself who's got the better track record, then try taking a more objective look at it.

My only responce to this,
"Dell fears nothing"

Now if that is not manical, I don't know what is.

I guess the difference is that I think it could all change over the weekend.

Look for the semiconductor equipment sector to get hammered on Monday.

Applied Materials, the industry bellwether, warned after the market close Friday that fiscal third-quarter earnings would be much lower than the consensus forecast of 21 cents a share. The company is now saying that when it reports results Aug. 11, earnings should come in somewhere between 15 cents and 18 cents a share -- compared to 38 cents a year ago.
