Barry Grossman. Re: "This time, I don't think the present PE will drop in the next week." You may be right. It is a bit fruitless to speculate about Intel's price and PE, especially with the way the Internet stocks have been acting.

But still, I remember a Peter Lynch article in Worth some time ago, titled "The second Half effect". His point is that the investment community starts focusing on next year's earnings starting in July-August. Here's the article if you're interested.

If Lynch is right then the PE at 100 would be more like 26, (if '99 eps #'s come in at $3.80.)
